Summary:

• As a System Engineer you will be responsible to maintain and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure

Responsibilities :

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies
• Patch management of all servers
• Networking and securing cloud assets
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Performs complex storage and server data backup, data migration and disaster recovery operations
• Maintains office and/or production software, adjunct support and/or utility software i.e. Virus malware protection, office application suites and/or application software

Required Skills:

• Working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX / LINUX and AIX based environments
• Good experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g. Tomcat, Ruby, Apache, and NGINX)
• Solid Cloud experience, preferably in Azure
• Experience in monitoring systems
• Scripting skills (e.g. shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, and Python)
• Networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
• Strong release methodology into production
• Experience in patch remediation with the focus on security/vulnerability research and mitigation

Desired Skills:

• Exposure to Team Foundation Server as a code repository and versioning
• Exposure to agile or iterative SDLC
• Exposure to open source DevOps tools
• Experience with databases and SQL
• Exposure to Azure cloud
